A Craftsman Bungalow with Studio

In 1910, Craftsman homes began to dot the hilly farmland that was soon to be the City of Eagle Rock. This fine example of the style has been blessed with owners who have maintained it well and improved it with respect for its heritage.

Today, you can admire the freshly refinished original hardwood floors, hang out on the wide front porch that has been rebuilt and refurbished to seem just like the original only sturdier.

The kitchen has been expanded and updated with absolute respect for its historic roots while providing today’s chef’s wish for a restaurant-style stove and farmhouse sink, lots of Shaker-style cabinets and a fresh new Marmoleum floor that could have been there all along. The bedroom and bath downstairs are part of the 2006 remodel and addition, but look and feel original to the house.

Some of the newer updates include a central heat and air split system, dishwasher, whole house water filtration system, and updated electrical system. Back in 2003, the old dilapidated garage was replaced with a structure permitted as a recreation room, half bath, and one-car garage.
